Go Servers
There are several go servers out there, all unique in their own sort of way. Here, they are grouped into two categories: Real-time and turn-based.
Real-Time Go Servers
Real-Time servers host games that have both players playing simultaneously, as if they were playing in real life. This is the fastest and most preferred option.
KGS Go Server
The KGS Go server is a very user-friendly server that has a thriving and active go community.

Yahoo! Games
Yahoo! Games hosts a go server where you can play rated 9x9, 13x13, and 19x19 games. However, escapers are rampant and common.

- Terrible terrible graphics
- USCF rating system

- Autoplay (which can land you into a game that someone has escaped from)
FlyOrDie
FlyOrDie's go server is fairly new and boasts some flamboyant graphics. It hosts solely 15x15 games.

- Very complicated graphics, such as chinese letters on the stones, flaming animations as stones are placed, etc.
- 15x15 ONLY
- Elo rating system
- Time is not adjustable
Turn-based Go Servers
Turn-based servers host games that allow players to send moves to each other. For example, a player sends a move. His opponent then receives the move, by e-mail or a server's system, and sends his own response. Games are played at a very slow pace, but several games can be played at a time. It's perfect for people who have no time for a real-time game.
Dragon Go Server
The Dragon Go Server is the largest turn-based go server.
Little Golem
This server is mostly concentrated on tournaments, but also has individual games which are not ranked.
FICGS
Free Internet Correspondence Games Server started with chess, but now hosts Go games and tournaments as well.
It's Your Turn
A Server which hosts several types of games, including Go-Moku (5 in a row)
Online Go Server
A decent turn-based server with player profiles!
Richard's Play-By-eMail Server
This is a primitive little turn-based system that has A LOT of different games.
